We were glad to see so many members of the NEB Community in Venice and online last week, for the first New European Bauhaus Collateral Event of the International Architecture Exhibition at La Biennale di Venezia.

In the beautiful premises of the University of Venice IUAV, we had the chance to welcome students from all over Europe and reflect together, hear strong words by the President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen and Commissioner Elisa Ferreira for Cohesion and Reforms, and find inspiration in the work of major architects, activists, artists, and scientists.

We came back to Brussels with exciting thoughts and ideas, new hopes and friendships, and a reinforced engagement to "help caterpillar cells create the network they need to transform into butterfly" (we warmly encourage you to re-watch the closing remark of John Schellnhuber who elaborated on this powerful metaphor and the whole event here)!
