From the very start of the war in Ukraine, the NEB Community has been vocal about their willingness to cooperate and act. Two weeks later, the High-Level Round Table (HLRT) member Shigeru Ban led a short-term response by providing simple and effective solution with his Paper Partition System and then replicated the project in five different Member States with the support of HLRT Mária Beňačková Rišková, Hubert Trammer and local NEB Partners.

NEB Unit has been supporting this work. It continues to do so by contributing to other European Commission’s activities that aim to support Ukraine and its people to address the immediate urgencies and planning of the reconstruction of the country.

The upcoming session on 12 July 2022 (14:00 – 16:00 CEST) aims to present our work, what we plan for the next months and, most importantly, to hear what your ongoing or planned initiatives are and how can we work together.

Ruth Reichstein, from I.D.E.A. Advisory Board to the President, will update the NEB community on the three topics:

  • Housing urgency,
  • Circular housing, and
  • Capacity building and Education.

These have been defined to connect the short-term solutions with the long-term reconstruction and development of Ukraine.

Your presence is important because we want to give you, the opportunity to find a place in this project. Your feedback, skills, and resources will also steer and contribute to ongoing preparations and the plan for future activities.

Looking forward to meeting you at the last online session before the summer break.
