The deadline for applications to the 2024 New European Bauhaus Prizes is approaching fast: innovators and changemakers have only 4 days left to apply with a completed project or a new idea.

Join us at the Ukraine Green Recovery Conference

The European Commission will host a four-day conference on the Green Recovery in Ukraine. Comprising a policy and a business segment, it aims to take stock of the challenges ahead and discuss the strategies and concrete solutions underpinning a green recovery.

The conference offers in-depth discussions and networking opportunities for policymakers, mayors, business actors, New European Bauhaus stakeholders and civil society. Join us on-site or online as we support Ukraine's path to a greener and more sustainable future. With financial support and technical expertise, Ukraine is investing in eco-friendly infrastructure, renewable energy, and sustainable practices. 

It’s nearly time for EducationForClimate Day 2023!

Take a peek at the agenda for this year’s EducationForClimate Day 2023 titled "How to boost green competences?".

You will find a range of discussions and showcases bringing together experts from all different fields to delve into the intersection between youth, education, and sustainability. Life-long experts will be presenting alongside climate-passionate youth activists, some of whom will be sharing their latest perspectives as part of the very first Youth Climate Lab.

60 Million in funding for cooperation projects – apply now

Creative Europe programme (Culture strand) is looking to fund at least 130 cooperation projects rooted in a range of cultural and creative sectors. The goal is to foster greater collaboration between the two sectors and promote the creation and circulation of European artistic content. Proposals should clearly exhibit cross-border cooperation, as this is at the heart of the cooperation projects initiative.

How to apply? Consult the call documentation on Funding and Tenders Portal. The deadline for applications is the 23 January 2024.

Save the date: Putting Science into Standards (PSIS) workshop

European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC), together with CEN and CENELEC, carry out an annual ‘foresight on standardization’ initiative named Putting Science into Standards (PSIS).

The 2023 PSIS workshop will focus on circular technologies for construction and will bring together stakeholders from research, scientific and standardization communities together with policy makers to exchange views on standardization needs for implementing circular technologies in the construction sector.

NEB Community meeting in Germany

The German National Contact Point invites Partners and Friends from Germany to NEB Community meeting. Together with Ruth Reichstein from the Cabinet of the European Commission President and guest lecturers, the participants will discuss both the aspects of artisanry and aesthetics in relation to sustainability issues. The Floating Berling, the winner of NEB Prize in 2023 will hold a lecture on their project and take a look back on the application process for the awards. Participants are invited to bring in their own topics in the discussion.

The event aims to inspire and foster collaboration between cities and cultural sector on how to best integrate arts and culture into their NEB-inspired projects by:

➡ Developing collaborations with artists and cultural professionals
➡ Getting citizens involved in co-creation processes through artistic practices and activities
➡ Measuring the impact of these kinds of actions
