[report]: Lviv hospital project presentation

/

date:  19/01/2024

The aim of the presentation was to inform the NEB Community and other relevant NEB stakeholders about an emerging and inspiring NEB pilot project taking shape on the ground in Ukraine.

The Lviv Hospital project proposes an expansion of the largest hospital in Ukraine in the city of Lviv, which has been receiving a vast number of patients, both civilian and military, from the war zone since February 2022. The project proposal was approved by the city’s mayor and deputy mayor as well as the hospital officials. The project has received support by the Japanese government, while substantial resources are still needed for its full realisation.

The project was presented by an award-winning Japanese architect and a member of the High-level Round Table Shigeru Ban, and a city architect representing the Municipality of Lviv, Anton Kolomieitse. You can watch the recording of the presentation on the EU video platform
