The European Environment Agency published its first progress report today identifying what still needs to be done to reach the EU’s climate and environmental targets, as decided in the 8th Environment Action Programme. The report highlights the need to finalize proposals for the Green Deal and push for greater systematic transformations across the food, construction and mobility industries. While there is progress to celebrate, it is clear that the economy is not yet on track according to the planetary boundaries.
