Participate in consultations on Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCA) for the Built Environment

/

date:  20/03/2023

The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors' (RICS) Whole Life Carbon Assessment (WLCA) aims to become the world-leading standard for carbon measurement in the built environment

Created by RICS in consultation with internationally-recognised professional bodies, the WLCA is accessible, reliable and promotes long-term thinking by encouraging reuse, recycling, and redevelopment. Giving visibility to the carbon cost of different design choices, the standard aims to help professionals manage carbon budgets, reduce lifetime emissions and build a net-zero future for construction.

RICS is consulting on the second edition and values the views of industry professionals involved in all phases of construction projects. Have your say and be a part of the development of a single source of information for carbon measurement in building and infrastructure projects.

The consultation will close on 18 April 2023 at 23:59 BST.
