As part of its annual cycle of publications, the project EuroMeSCo: Connecting the Dots, which fosters dialogue among think tankers, researchers and policy-makers, presented a new policy study on the topic of CBAM, the EU's main instrument to prevent carbon leakage through international trade.

The presentation of the study, entitled "Implementing the CBAM: How are the EU’s Southern Neighbours Preparing and What Can the EU Do to Help", was introduced by representatives of DG TAXUD before the coordinator of the study, Michael Jakob, finally presented the results and recommendations featured in the study. Colleagues from DG NEAR, DG TRADE, DG ECFIN and DG TAXUD attended and provided comments and feedback.
