The regional workshiop, facilitated by the Council of Europe under this EU-funded programme, was organised in cooperation with the Jordanian Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission. It brought together over 30 representatives of the public and private sectors as well as civil society from the Southern Mediterranean region. It aimed to raise awareness among anti-corruption agencies and other relevant institutions on international standards and good practices on business integrity and anti-corruption compliance. The participants exchanged on concepts and functions of private sector corruption and the role of relevant institutions as well as on the challenges faced by the relevant stakeholders in introducing and applying integrity measures and countering economic crimes.
