On 3 March, Clima-Med hosted an online workshop, bringing together new members from 11 municipalities to EU-funded CoM Med, 8 of which are represented by the Union of Baalbek municipalities.

This initiative marks a continuous step towards collective climate action in the Mediterranean region.

During the workshop, newly adhered Lebanese cities delved into the essential initial steps required to kickstart the preparation of their SEACAP (Sustainable Energy Access and Climate Action Plans)

City leaders are eager and prepared to use these plans as valuable tools to guide them towards #sustainabledevelopment and implement strong strategies to adapt to climate change.  A special mention to Menjez municipality, which will be updating its previous SEAP from 2016 into a new SEACAP.

Let's join hands and pave the way for a sustainable future!
