INTPA and NEAR host EU delegations during the Environment and Climate Change Week

On 27-31 March, representatives of around 130 EU delegations met in Brussels to attend a series of conferences and workshops tailored to inform their work on the ground and to meet their counterparts in headquarters. The sessions were designed to present the policies in place to enhance biodiversity and fight climate change and to offer an overview of tools and practices at the disposal of EU delegations.

As climate change mitigation and biodiversity enhancement are now a central policy focus under the Global Gateway. They are also embedded in the funding instruments and are an increasingly important area of cooperation covered by EU delegations. During a full week, EU delegations met with couterparts and colleagues in headquarters to discuss various environment- and climate-related topics such as water, circular economy, biodiversity enhancement, among others. Workshops and conferences provided information on the tools and mechanisms at the disposal of delegations to facilitate their work with partner countries and offered a platform for delegations to share experiences.
