NEIGHBOURHOOD AND ENLARGEMENT - Closer Neighbours/Safer Europe: Euromed Police is stepping up law enforcement cooperation

CEPOL has published a new video about the regional programme “Euromed Police”. Euromed Police aims at enhancing the capacity of the Southern Partner Countries (SPC) to fight serious and organised crime and to strengthen strategic cooperation between national law enforcement authorities in SPCs, as well as between SPCs, EU Member States and EU agencies.

The Euromed Initiative combines the efforts of the EU and law enforcement agencies from nine countries in the MENA region. Euromed police focuses on enhancing specialised training needed to fight serious and organised crime. The programme is building a network of national authorities in the Middle East and North Africa to better face the security challenges of the future.
