Euromed Trade Helpdesk capacity building programme started in Palestine

This innovative online tool part of the Trade and Investment Facilitation Mechanism (TIFM II) provides information for enhancing regional trade integration and a Help Centre supported by a network across the region.

On 8th January, Ms. Manal Farhan, Deputy Minister at the Ministry of National Economy, Ms. Ruwa Jaber, CEO of Palestine Trade Center - PalTrade and Ms. Elodie Robin, Project manager at ITC, kicked off the first workshop of the capacity building programme on Euromed Trade Helpdesk. The Euromed Trade Helpdesk is part of TIFM II project (Trade and Investment Facilitation Mechanism phase II), which builds on TIFM I with the aim to provide support by fostering regional trade integration, reducing risks within global value chains, and addressing COVID-19 challenges in collaboration with public and private sectors in Algeria, Egypt, Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia.

The upgraded regional online tool, EU-funded, was launched in 2022, and provides free market information for enhancing regional trade integration, as well as an Help Centre supported by a network across the region

Participants to the training are from the Ministry of National Economy, PalTrade, as well as other public and private entities such as chambers of commerce, Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics, Investment Promotion and Industrial Estates Agency. 

During the week, they will learn how to use Euromed Trade Helpdesk to identify export opportunities for Palestinian products
