The NIP contribution agreement contributes to boosting the energy efficiency in the building sector and complements existing EU-funded regional project MEETMED II aiming at promoting energy efficiency in buildings and appliances.

End December 2022, the NIP contribution agreement in subject was signed. This important initiative from AFD aims at boosting the energy efficiency in the building sector, being among the highest in terms of energy consumption in the Southern Neighbourhood countries.

The NIP envelope of EUR 30 million aims at mobilising up to EUR 460 million investments.

This project will be deployed in full complementarity with the existing EU-funded regional project MEETMED II (EUR 5 million, 2021-2024), aiming at promoting energy efficiency in buildings and appliances.
