NEIGHBOURHOOD AND ENLARGEMENT - CyberSouth: National workshop on the preparation of criminal justice statistics on cybercrime and e-evidence in Jordan

Jordan was the third of the CyberSouth project priority countries to which a national workshop on the preparation of criminal justice statistics on cybercrime and e-evidence was held, on 17th of February 2022.

The role and benefits of statistics, the mechanism for collection, as well as the types of statistics, the actors involved, and the sharing of data were among the topics discussed. Furthermore, the Jordanian representatives presented their mechanism for collecting statistical data, followed by recommendations by the expert.

Support for the development of a strategic approach on cybercrime has been provided to Jordan within the CyberSouth project since 2019 and will be continued, tackling the building of different elements of the strategy/policy to fight cybercrime.
