The three-day event - on 19, 21 and 23 May - was launched in the framework of the regional programme Clima-Med and under the patronage of His Excellency the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Local Administration in Jordan, the European Union Delegation of Jordan, representatives from the Ministry of Local Administration, Mayors, and representatives from 104 municipalities, including the Greater Amman Municipality and the Aqaba Special Economic Zone Authority (ASEZA).

The workshop aimed to strengthen municipalities' capacities for addressing climate risk and engage in effective discussions on climate actions and financing strategies.
