On 14 March 2023, the MED MSMEs Programme organized under its Community of Practice an online training on the "Guidelines for mainstreaming gender to the Non-banking Financial Institutions (NBFIs)".

As part of the MED MSMEs mandate to facilitate dialogue and exchanging practices in the south Mediterranean region, the webinar gathered 85 participants from NBFIs, policy makers and central banks. The webinar was an opportunity to present how non-banking financial institutions, policymakers, development finance institutions, and private sector stakeholders can actively reduce women-owned SMEs' financial and non-financial barriers, thus enabling an ecosystem conducive to women's entrepreneurship.
