During the World Bank Annual Meetings in Washington, the World Bank MENA department and DG NEAR.B2 organised a roundtable on “Partnerning for the future: EU - MENA Southern Neighbourhood dialogue” on 15 October 2022. The event provided an opportunity to present the EU strategy for the Southern Neighbourhood – the Agenda for the Mediterranean – and the Economic Investment Plan and to engage in upstream dialogue to jointly support reforms and coordinate response to regional challenges. At the same occasion, DG NEAR and World Bank MENA signed an agreement to support the Palestinian business environment and to strengthen digital entrepreneurship with a contribution of EUR 9 million, through a Single Donor Trust Funds.
