What is the EUTF?

Three and a half years in to its creation, and with EUR 1.4 billion of approved projects, the EU Trust Fund has amply porven its added value beyong its economy of scale and the pooling of contributions from 23 donors and different EU financial instruments. It also offers a new approach in Europe's response to the Syrian crisis, improving coordination and coherence and addresssing longer-term needs of both refugees and local communities. |

On World Refugee Day, the EU Trust Fund held its 7th board meeting and adopted a new €167 million aid package including the following actions:

€100 million to guarantee access to education for Syrian refugee children in Lebanon

€52 million to provide social protection and assistance to vulnerable refugees and host communities affected by the Syrian crisis in Lebanon

€15 million to strengthen the resilience of Palestine Refugees from Syria, in Lebanon and Jordan
