The approval of the revised Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) Directive will make high-quality and timely data available for services such as multimodal journey planners, navigation platforms, and emergency services. Access to better data will allow more effective management of traffic and mobility across transport modes, enabling users to better combine the most sustainable modes of transport.

I have a vision that cycling becomes central to transport in the future, especially in urban areas. Cycling is good for the planet, good for your health and often the fastest way from A to B! To ensure the current resurgence of cycling continues, action at all levels is needed. The Commission will therefore continue supporting cycling wherever it can.
