The European Language Data Space marked a significant milestone with the successful hosting of its Launch Conference on 19 March 2025, at the Cité internationale de la langue française in Villers-Cotterêts, France. This key event introduced the beta version of the LDS architecture to a diverse audience of stakeholders, data providers and consumers, underscoring the data space's potential to transform the exchange of language resources across Europe.

Since April 2024, nine LDS Country workshops have been held across Europe in Finland, Sweden, Luxembourg, Hungary, Ireland, Slovakia, Czechia, Belgium with The Netherlands and Denmark, with the mission of disseminating information on the LDS and establishing synergies of collaboration and support from the local stakeholders.
The European Language Data Space (LDS) is designed to facilitate a seamless, cross-platform and secure data exchange among the LDS marketplace members. An intuitive search function facilitates the search of data products, tools and/or services made available by other participants in the LDS marketplace.
Events
The European Language Data Space and the Department of French and European Studies, University of Cyprus, are bringing together experts from the Cypriot Industry, Public Administration and Research to discuss the importance of language data for the development of Language Technologies and AI-based tools in Cyprus.
The European Commission and Nimdzi Insights organise a CNECT University session dedicated to the Language Technology Market Landscape, which will take place online on 15 April starting from 9 CEST. The conference will disseminate the findings from the Market Study conducted by Nimdzi Insights.
We are happy to invite stakeholders, data providers and data consumers to join the LDS Launch Conference, dedicated to the presentation of the LDS beta version. The event will offer an overview of the LDS functions and operations and how it may benefit different industry sectors.
