This JRC report, in collaboration with DG CLIMA and DG RTD, provides the findings for the city of Cluj-Napoca and the region of Nord-Vest in Romania in relation to climate change adaptation measures. It takes into account multilevel governance also at national level.

The study highlights the need for sustainable innovation in the Western Balkans to reduce coal dependency and carbon emissions. It suggests improved coordination, stakeholder engagement, and Smart Specialisation to boost the green transition.

REGDUALOSA (Re-gions, Dual-use, and Open Strategic Autonomy) is an exploratory research activity of the Joint Research Centre. We are thrilled to share insights from our latest stakeholders consultation seminar held in Podkarpackie, as part of the regional case study focused on aerial drones. We will have our next sessions in Seville (24 January, centred on space technologies) and Tallin (28 January, centred on cyber defence).
