Dear readers,

Welcome to the latest BDTI Kitchen! As we move deeper into autumn, we hope you're finding ways to keep both your projects and spirits energised.

Date:  28/10/2024

October has been a bustling month for the BDTI team, with numerous initiatives in motion to support European public administrations on their journey towards data-driven decision-making.

This month, we’re excited to announce a new pilot from Arezzo municipality in Italy, where advanced data analytics are helping improve urban safety and planning. We’ve also been busy hosting Skills Studio workshops that empower public sector professionals to harness data insights for real-world challenges, from geospatial analysis to graph theory and dashboard creation. And if you’re eager to expand your skill set, look out for our upcoming workshops on climate data analysis and predictive modelling, plus insightful webinars tackling data’s role in health policy and urban resilience.

In this issue, you’ll also find new resources in our Data Literacy Corner, featuring tools to help you navigate European datasets with ease. Our Public Sector Spotlight includes a new Data Innovation Toolkit to assist individuals engaged in data initiatives. We hope this edition brings you inspiration and practical guidance to fuel your initiatives. As always, we value your feedback and encourage you to let us know how we can support your data journey.

Happy reading, and here’s to a productive November ahead!
