Welcome to the latest edition of the BDTI Kitchen newsletter

Dear readers,

date:  14/05/2024

Has spring sprung where you are? 🌿 In this springtime edition, we ask whether the constant stream of data trends distracts from doing the actual data work. We introduce readers to the latest addition to the BDTI tech stack, Mage AI. For our valued BDTI users, Mage AI's inclusion is a game-changer. It enhances their current data processing capabilities and opens up a world of possibilities for experimentation and innovation with fewer constraints.

We're proud to share that we've launched a new online course in collaboration with our colleagues in The Interoperable Academy. This course is designed to further inform the public sector about data literacy and utilisation and the benefits of a one-stop-shop like BDTI. It's a testament to our shared commitment to advancing a data-informed public sector.

After that, we’re highlight some interesting upcoming events and initiatives. Like SEMIC 24, an open data for research workshop, the launch of the 'Best Cases Award' from Public Sector Tech Watch, and the Open and the 2024 Open & Agile Smart Cities & Communities (OASC) Summit.

Finally, we close with a comprehensive guide to open data and high-value datasets from our Digital EU colleagues.

We hope you find this edition informative and useful. As always, we’d love to hear your feedback, and if you’d like to discuss an open data use case to experiment with using BDTI, we should talk.

Happy reading!
