New mandatory components step in the Drupal pipeline
|
|
From 1 November a new step in the Drupal pipeline will enforce the activation of all components currently marked as mandatory in all the websites hosted in DIGIT infrastructure. Developers need to integrate the mandatory components on their sites as soon as possible to avoid deployments block, as it will not be possible to bypass the step. Upgrade to Toolkit 8.x
|
|
Projects currently using Drupal 9 or migrating to Drupal 9 should use Toolkit 8.x. However, due to unexpected issues in the upgrade to Toolkit 8.x, Drupal 8 projects should continue in Toolkit 4.x. Drupal 7 projects should upgrade as soon as possible to a newer version of Drupal (8 or 9) before 1 December 2022. After that date no deployments will be possible for Drupal 7 sites.

This is the newsletter of the Europa IT platform services managed by DG DIGIT.D1. It provides technical information to professionals involved in the creation and/or management of public information websites hosted under the europa.eu domain, in particular, those websites using the Europa Web Publishing Platform or Open Europa (based on Drupal technology) and related Webtools services.
The information on this newsletter does not require any action from owners of sites built with the Europa Web Publishing Platform. As product owner, DG COMM will contact those site owners for action when necessary.
