The European Commission is releasing a new educational and interactive game called RECxploration, centred around Renewable Energy Communities (RECs). RECxploration supports the European Green Deal by providing a free tool for public education on Renewable Energy Communities and foster citizen engagement in the clean energy transition. Targeted at European citizens, RECxploraiton utilises real-world data to offer an immersive and intuitive experience, allowing players to explore the impact of different energy choices. Powered by advanced JRC scientific models, RECxploration is a creation of the Living Lab for Testing Digital Energy Solutions at the European Commission’s Joint Research Centre (JRC).
