First meeting of the Micro-credentials consultation group

On 26 May I attended the first meeting of the new consultation group on micro-credentials. The group includes experienced practitioners from national authorities, higher education institutions and quality assurance groups in Member States. We gathered to reflect on how the take-up of short and flexible learning modules leading to micro-credentials will serve social, economic and pedagogical innovation and help people at any stage of their career to gain knowledge, skills and competences in all fields. Two additional online meetings of the group are planned for 30 June and 16 September before delivery of a final report on the common characteristics of a European approach to micro-credentials and a roadmap for further actions at all levels.
