In Focus: Launch of the EJOCN

On 25 September, European prosecutors took an important step in the fight against organised criminal groups by launching the European Judicial Organised Crime Network (EJOCN).

The EJOCN, hosted by Eurojust, brings together specialised prosecutors from all 27 EU Member States to strategically combat organised crime. It will focus on horizontal issues that arise in the investigation and prosecution of high-risk criminal networks, and allow prosecutors to tackle recurring legal challenges and identify new, practical opportunities to cooperate.
