New Commission study on potential public-private partnership approach to foster innovation in fusion energy

The most recent independent report issued by the Commission shows the increasing involvement of private enterprises in fusion projects, notably spurred by recent technological advancements in fusion research. The study analyses the possibility of promoting and support collaborations between the public and private sectors to stimulate investment and advancements in fusion energy technologies.

Commission adopts EU-wide scheme for rating sustainability of data centres

The Commission has introduced a new delegated regulation on the first phase for establishing an EU-wide scheme to rate the sustainability of EU data centres. The regulation adopted a secondary legislation, the Energy Efficiency Directive, which requires operators to report key indicators to the European database by September 15, 2024, and annually thereafter.

European geothermal research and innovation search engine (EGRISE) 

ETIP-Geothermal proudly unveils the European Geothermal Research & Innovation Search Engine (EGRISE). With more than 10.000 publications/tools available, the EGRISE v2.0 enables the discovery of research products (e.g. project deliverables, papers, datasets) produced in EU-funded geothermal projects and by the whole geothermal community worldwide.

BRUSSELS HYDROPOWER DAY 2024 

On 6th April 2024 will take place the second annual Brussels Hydropower Day, aims to provide a platform for stakeholder groups in the hydropower sector and decision makers in the European Commission and Parliament, who are working on relevant policy issues concerning hydropower.

The conference will be held in Brussels at the Bluepoint Brussels and streamed online.
