Electricity market – reform of the EU’s electricity market design

 This reform is focused on aspects requiring urgent adjustments to make the market more resilient and to reduce the impact of gas prices on electricity bills while supporting the energy transition.

The aim of this reform is to provide added value swiftly to EU citizens and companies during the ongoing crisis and the 2023/2024 heating season. It involves making amendments to Electricity Regulation (EU) 2019/943, Electricity Directive (EU) 2019/944 and Regulation (EU) No 1227/2011 (REMIT).

Horizon Europe – interim evaluation

This initiative is to evaluate the first results of Horizon Europe's research & innovation actions funded by the EU in 2021-2023. All aspects of the programme will be evaluated, including: partnerships, missions, the European Institute of Technology. This evaluation, required under Regulation 2021/695 (Article 52), will help inform the design of future EU research & innovation investments.

Horizon 2020 programme – final evaluation

This initiative analyses the outputs and impacts of the entire Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme over the years 2014-2020. This evaluation is carried out to help implement current EU research and innovation measures and to design future ones. It also fulfils the Commission’s legal obligation to explain how it has spent public funds.
