Update on the work of WG1:

• Hydrogen and grids: the content of the paper has been agreed upon by the participants, as well as a possible deadline for the first draft to be ready by Q3/Q4 2021.
• E-mobility: the participants agreed on the paper content and the drafting has started. The first draft is foreseen for Q3/Q4 2021.
• Flexibility for Resilience: cooperation with ISGAN Annex 6 ongoing. An internal workshop took place on June 1^st to discuss some of the objectives and contents of the paper. The contributors are invited to send their inputs to Emil, the task force leader from the ETIP SNET side. A timeline for the drafting has been shared with the participant, with the first round of contributions due by June 25th.

Updates regarding the WG2:

• The first Task Force (TF) kick-off meeting will take place on 24 June 2021
  • TF1: Development of KPIs for Energy storage applications
  • TF2: Development of circular economy approach in Energy Storage value chain
• WG2 regular meeting will take place on 5 July 2021
• The Chair renewal procedure is currently ongoing

Updates from WG3:

Adding to the efforts fostered during the last WG3 Workshop on May 12th, WG3 hosted a workshop joint with the ETIP RHC on the 7th June to further set up and outline the objectives of the upcoming close collaboration between ETIP SNET and ETIP RHC in order to produce a series of White Papers:

• Renewables & Heat Generation
• Cogeneration
• Thermal Storage
• District Heating & Cooling (DHC)

The result of the workshop and its participants was the elaboration of a grouping of editorial teams for these publications. This document has been sent to all members across both ETIPs that have notified their interest in this publication of these white papers. These editorial teams have, at least temporarily, one representative of each ETIP to function as a chair. More on this planning of contributions for the upcoming White Papers is to be developed in the month of June and July.

Updates regarding the WG4:

• Elena Boskov-Kovacs has been appointed as the new WG4 Co-Chair
• WG4 is working via also a dedicated Task Force on the 5+5 Digital Use cases. Links between the Use case and research topics from the ETIP SNET implementation plan have been made and the use case is associated with a majority of them.
• WG1 Co-Chair has contacted WG4, asking for contribution regarding the paper “E-mobility deployment and impact on grids”.
• WG4 is planning to reply to consultation about the Digitalisation Package that will be issued by the DG ENER

Update from WG5:

• 1 New application received.
• WT1

The integration between the EIRE platform and the DERlab research infrastructure database will be completed at the end of June.

• WT2

The group is now matching ETIP SNET technologies with their related standards. It will be completed at the end of June, with a feedback meeting.

• WT3

The WT3 is working on developing a detailed classification of technologies (35 different technologies, divided into sub-technologies) by a brainstorming session in weekly organized telcos.

• WT4

WT4 is receiving feedback from the projects of the Regional Workshop. Each member has discussed with project coordinators within bilateral meetings for possible improvements to be done within the Business Implementation questionnaire. After the end of this process, feedback will be given to the whole WG5. Feedback from projects of the Regional Workshop will be added too.
