Ocean Energy Europe

The new report Scaling up investments in ocean energy technologies, co-authored by the Ocean Energy Europe (OEE) and International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), has been published. The report emphasises that ocean energy is one of the technologies that must be scaled up to enable the energy system to achieve full decarbonisation and energy security, providing clean, local and predictable electricity to communities around the world.

ETIP PV

The programme of ETIP PV Conference 2023 has been released. The event will take place in Brussels on the 10-11 May, focusing on PV Innovation: Assuring Europe's Energy Independent Future with Photovoltaics. The conference will highlight how policy, supply chain factors, research and innovation, international trade, economic growth and environmental and climate concerns can deliver the resurgence of a European solar supply chain.

Batteries Europe

Batteries Europe’s Task Force on Safety has published its first report on the Definition of Safety Key Performance Indicator (KPIs), intended to represent a benchmark for current and forthcoming EU R&I actions, in which the most relevant definitions at material, cell and system level, regardless of the final application are gathered.

ETIP Hydropower

On 25th April, ETIP Hydropower hosted the HYDROPOWER DAY: the added value of the hydropower sector as a catalyst and enabler in the clean and safe energy transition under the energy crisis. The event worked as a platform for decision makers in the EC and Parliament, who are working on relevant policy files concerning hydropower. The purpose is to discuss opportunities and barriers affecting hydropower deployment in the framework of the energy transition within the energy crisis and the market as well as regulation conditions.

SNEPT – Sustainable Nuclear Energy Technology Platform

As part of the ongoing EURATOM project (SNETP-FORWARD), and in close collaboration with the European Commission representatives EURATOM- fission, on the 3rd May 2023 SNETP will organise SMEs Webinar with the aim to understand their needs and maximise their participation in European collaborative projects.

ZEP

The Zero Emissions Platform (ZEP) welcomed the proposal for the Net-Zero industry Act by the European Commission, emphasising that this is an important political recognition of the contribution of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and carbon capture and utilisation (CCU) technologies to Europe's climate neutrality goal.

 

ETIP Bioenergy

The SET4BIO project is developing a support programme for project developers active in the field of bioenergy and alternative fuels. The ETIP is looking for input from project developers and national/local support agencies to better understand what their needs are. Take the questionnaire to share your knowledge of existing support initiatives, and your experiences of project development in the bioenergy and alternative fuels sector.
