The LIFE programme announced the winners of the 2020 LIFE Awards during a virtual ceremony. Now in their 14th year, the Awards recognise the most innovative, inspirational and effective LIFE projects in three categories: nature, environment and climate action. We have received more than 250 proposals for new climate action LIFE projects. This represents an impressive 55% rise compared to last year’s numbers. Applicants from all across the EU are seeking €500 million in LIFE co-funding to protect our planet from dangerous climate change.
