The future of higher education and science – A turn of times?

On 4 October 2023, representatives of the participating EUROGRADUATE 2022 countries and the EUROGRADUATE consortium will meet in Hanover, Germany. The project meeting will be followed by the international conference ‘The future of higher education and science – A turn of times?’ (October 5-6) taking place in Hanover as well. A session at this conference will be dedicated to EUROGRADUATE 2022, offering an opportunity to discuss research ideas and publications using EUROGRADUATE data.

The EUROGRADUATE 2022 project meeting will be attended by the national research teams of all countries participating in the current round of EUROGRADUATE, staff members of the European Commission, and the EUROGRADUATE consortium. The meeting aims are to reflect on project developments and lessons learned, exchange on the first findings of the EUROGRADUATE data, and prepare the upcoming project tasks which focuses on analysis and reporting. The meeting will be hosted by the German Centre for Higher Education Research and Science Studies (DZHW) and will be held in person on 4 October 2023 in Hanover, Germany. 

The international conference ‘The future of higher education and science – A turn of times?’, is jointly organised by DZHW and the Leibniz Center for Science and Society (LCSS) and will take place on 5-6 October 2023 at the Leibniz University of Hanover, Germany. The conference will focus on the challenges for higher education and science arising from the many current crisis and their ramifications, calling for an intensification of international networking in higher education research and science studies. Envisaged topics are, for instance, international perspectives on the governance of higher education and science, measures of academic freedom, scientific careers in transition, diversity of regional research cultures in the global science system, and multiple competition in science and higher education.
