Dear Smart Cities Marketplace Community,

As 2025 unfolds, the Smart Cities Marketplace continues to support cities in their journey towards climate neutrality and sustainability. We help urban areas develop smart, resilient, and inclusive solutions by fostering collaboration and innovation.

This May, the Cities Mission Conference 2025 in Vilnius, with the participation of the Smart Cities Marketplace, will bring together representatives from the 112 Mission Cities to celebrate progress and share insights. Later, in November, the Smart City Expo World Congress in Barcelona will showcase cutting-edge urban solutions and foster partnerships that drive sustainable transformation, and the Smart Cities Marketplace is organising the EC stand.

Recent Highlights
The Smart Cities Marketplace played a key role in the European Energy Communities Facility Strategic Dialogue, supporting community-led energy projects. Meanwhile, Turin was named European Capital of Innovation 2024-25, recognising its leadership in smart and sustainable urban development.

Looking Ahead
The Smart Cities Marketplace remains committed to empowering cities through knowledge exchange, funding access, and expert support. Together, we can accelerate the shift towards greener, smarter, and more liveable urban environments.
