Dear Smart Cities Marketplace Community,

Autumn has been a busy time for the Smart Cities Marketplace. In November, we participated in the Smart City Expo World Congress 2024, where we teamed up with 21 EU-supported initiatives and projects, highlighting urban sustainability and innovative financing at a shared stand.

In October, we released a new policy paper providing insights on energy communities and strategies for zero-emission buildings. There is also great news from three municipalities in Portugal, Guimarães, Vila Real, and Torres Novas, which are set to boost their sustainability efforts by establishing energy communities with support from the Smart Cities Marketplace and our technical assistance programme.

The Smart Cities Marketplace website has recently received a new section: Solution providers. Solution providers can join our website to showcase their services and create a place for cities to find suitable solutions to implement their projects.

As the year comes to a close, we'd like to extend our warmest greetings to all our partners and supporters and wish you a peaceful end of 2024.

Happy Holidays!

Your Smart Cities Marketplace Team
