Dear Smart Cities Marketplace Community,
|
As autumn ushers in a season of transformation, the Smart Cities Marketplace is preparing for its key role in the Smart City Expo World Congress (SCEWC), taking place from 5-7 November 2024 in Barcelona. Coordinating the European Commission’s joint presence, we’ll be showcasing innovative projects and partners dedicated to advancing sustainable urban solutions. Our focus will be on scaling up strategies that contribute to the EU Green Deal and a Just Transition involving all stakeholders.
Our presence at SCEWC will include congress sessions, interactive booth activities, and networking opportunities, where cities can learn more about Positive Energy Districts, urban mobility, digital solutions for sustainability, and aspects of socially just and inclusive implementation of the latter. Key partners such as NetZeroCities and Driving Urban Transitions Partnership will share how European cities are advancing their sustainability goals.
In addition to the Expo, check out the latest episode of our Urban Reverb podcast series. Episode 7, Empowering Cities – Net-Zero Energy Solutions in Action, features insights from experts on how cities are tackling the transition to net-zero energy emissions.
