Annual Political Dialogue

Reflecting on progress and the path ahead for a just transition in Europe

On 11-12 July stakeholders representing coal, peat, lignite and oil shale (“coal+”) regions gathered in sunny Velenje (Slovenia) for the Initiative for coal region in transition's fifth Annual Political Dialogue. The event was a chance to take stock of the progress made thus far, discuss challenges and opportunities for implementing a just energy transition in Europe, and share the vision for the future of transition.
