Among the attendees were representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science, the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Centre, the Bureau for the Development of Education, the Centre for Adult Education, and Europass Ambassadors from North Macedonia.

Knowledge sharing, collaboration and active discussions about the future of Europass and its platform were at the center of the event. Interactive working groups were organized to discuss relevant topics such as: Europass platform enhancement, promotion and awareness, AI and Europass – Leveraging artificial intelligence to support users, User testing as well as Europass and Euroguidance collaboration.

The Malta National Europass Centre (MTNEC), in collaboration with the Malta Employers’ Association (MEA), hosted a first-of-its-kind business breakfast titled "From Schools to Workplaces: Europass in Focus."

The event aimed to showcase how Europass can bridge the gap between education and employment by enhancing communication and skills recognition. It brought together over 40 employers, educators, and stakeholders to explore how Europass benefits employers in assessing and utilising job seekers’ skills effectively.

Keynote speeches were delivered by representatives from the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Employment, Social Affairs, and Inclusion, who highlighted Europass role as a vital tool for employability and workforce development. A panel discussion followed, offering practical insights into how the education sector can better prepare students for the workplace.

This initiative provided an opportunity for employers and educators to exchange ideas and discuss actionable steps for improving the transition from school to employment. Feedback gathered during the event emphasised the importance of Europass in fostering collaboration between sectors.

By uniting stakeholders and fostering dialogue, MTNEC continues to strengthen the role of Europass in supporting employability and skills recognition.
