European Labour Market Barometer May 2025 - European Labour Market Barometer barely moves

The European Labour Market Barometer rose by 0.1 points to 99.7 points in May compared to the previous month. The employment component increased by 0.3 points to 100.4 points. The unemployment forecast component, however, stagnated in negative territory at 99.0 points. The leading indicator of the European Network of Public Employment Services and the IAB has thus remained slightly below the neutral mark of 100 points for almost two years. "European labour markets continue to stagnate," explains Enzo Weber, IAB head of forecast. Read more.
