EMODnet’s key role in the European Digital Twin Ocean (EU DTO) was presented by Francisco (Tjess) Hernandez, VLIZ, Belgium, together with a policy perspective from John Bell, EC DG Research and Innovation. A Panel of experts with Conor Delaney (Technical Coordinator, EMODnet Secretariat), the European Commission, Copernicus Marine Service / Mercator Ocean International and representatives of wider initiatives who jointly explored the interplay of cutting-edge technology within EMODnet, its role in the EU DTO, including via the EDITO-Infra initiative, and collaborations with Destination Earth and related Horizon Europe projects.
