The EMODnet presentation included active inputs from EMODnet Biology and Seabed Habitats, showcasing EMODnet’s offer related to marine biodiversity, in the context of broader EMODnet services.  The European Commission DG Environment spoke about policy instruments, e.g., EU Biodiversity Strategy, in place to enhance the sharing of biodiversity data across all domains, including marine. Discussion topics ranged from biodiversity data interoperability to emerging data collection efforts including by citizen science.

EMODnet is an active contributor to the EU Green Deal Data Space, providing advice and input on marine data services to the GREAT project in the context of public webinars, partner dialogues and via a Task Force for marine data.
