EMODNET - Future of our Seas

This Conference, convened by the European Commission, will bring together a diverse group of stakeholders, who will be able to confront their views on the future of the Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) and the protection and management of the marine environment.

EMODnet experts will be participating in this meeting, to discuss the many existing contributions made by EMODnet data and data products to support Good Environmental Status (GES) assessments and MSFD implementation. The conference will also provide the opportunity to showcase how the Directive serves the ambitions of the European Green Deal initiatives and to interrogate whether the Directive should be adapted to improve its performance and better address the challenges identified.
