Antimicrobial sales and use (ASU)

Currently, the Agency is facilitating numerous activities to prepare member states for their upcoming reporting obligation. These activities, directed exclusively at national competent authorities, include making the ASU platform available for testing purposes to ASU data managers, organising webinars on the different functionalities of the ASU platform to report data, regular Q&A support sessions and developing various written materials such as protocols, guidelines and infographics.

Furthermore, efforts to assist UPD competent authorities’ users on data quality are being prepared. Together with written guidance, the Agency is organising workshops on the link between the two systems and to share best practices to address common errors in UPD data affecting ASU (28-29 November 2023).
