Two New Publications: Geographical Indications & Data Protection in India

India IP SME Helpdesk team just published two brand-new materials “Data Protection: The Regime in India” and “Guide to Geographical Indication Protection in India”. The new factsheet provides insights into the important aspects of data protection as well as the legal regime in India. Additionally, our new guide outlines the key aspects of geographical indications and details the legal frameworks at the international level, within the EU, and in India.

Union Budget 2024: Priorities in Innovation, Research & Development

On 23 July 2024, Minister of Finance Nirmala Sitharaman presented the Union Budget 2024. A key focus of the Budget is the growing importance and reliance on technologies and data to support the country's growth. How to Protect Your IP in India

We are collaborating with the Internationalisation Centre Styria (ICS) to organise a new training session aimed at educating European small and medium enterprises (SMEs) about intellectual property (IP) laws in India. The main objective of the session is to raise awareness about the market opportunities that India offers for EU SMEs. The session will focus on IP protection strategies in India and how best steps to take prior internationalising to India.
