EU unveils plans for €500M partnership on advanced materials

Science|Business | 29/02/2024 | Europe - The European Commission wants to launch a €500 million public-private partnership on advanced materials, as part of plans to boost Europe’s standing in the sector. The EU would commit €250 million to the partnership between 2025 and 2027 to attract matching private investment and allow companies to scale and accelerate the deployment of advanced materials. “The EU’s competitiveness relies on our technological edge and steady supply of advanced materials for our green and digital transitions,” said Margrethe Vestager, executive vice president of the European Commission.

Hawk Biosystems, one of 42 selected in Europe to receive support from the EiC Accelerator

Alicante Plaza | 01/03/2024 | Spain - The spin-off of the UMH Science Park, Hawk Biosystems , is one of the 42 selected in Europe to receive support from the EiC Accelerator. The company has been selected by the Executive Agency for the European Innovation Council and SMEs (Eismea) as one of the "privileged" firms to receive support from the EiC Accelerator vehicle. It has been a very close cut, since of 1,083 companies throughout Europe, only those four dozen have been selected. In total, there are five from Spain.
