Horizon 2020 Environment

The European Commission has selected 6 projects that will receive around €21 million under Horizon 2020's Societal Challenge "Climate action, environment, resource efficiency and raw materials". Grant agreements are now being prepared for signature so that the new projects will be launched as of November 2019 onwards.

The four new projects will work towards fostering the digital transformation of the water sector. The total funding they have received from Horizon 2020 climbs up to €20 mln and it comes from the Call “Digital solutions for water" published in 2018.

The EU-funded Arctic research projects met in Brussels to discuss synergies and common strategies to boost their impact on policy and people.

ICT4Water cluster annual event gathered nearly 100 professionals from the smart water community to work together on the digital transformation of the water sector.

Information days on the Horizon 2020 Work Programme 2018-2020, Challenge "Climate Action, Environment, Resource Efficiency & Raw Materials" - 2020 calls - will take place on 16 and 17 September 2019 in Brussels. Registrations are now open!

The European Commission is once again taking part in Ecomondo. EASME – the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises – will show how EU funding helps to design a better world with concrete projects dealing with one of this year’s main topics: Sustainable Mobility; Food Waste; Smart Buildings; Plastics Management.
