The OLS blog can be found in the “Interactions” section on the right side of each language learning community. It’s the perfect place for introducing your mobility participants to a language’s history, culture and literature. - Meet these five contemporary Flemish writers in the Dutch community’s blog to celebrate Boekenweek (book week) in Flanders and the Netherlands between 11-19 March;
- Discover the literary voice of contemporary Sardinia and one of the best-loved contemporary Italian writers, Michela Murgia, in the community’s blog;
- Five Danish authors who shaped modern-day Denmark and gave us fairy tales and philosophy are in the Danish community’s blog;
- She was the first woman to receive the Portuguese language’s most prestigious literary award in 1999. Find a snapshot of poet and writer Sophia de Mello Breyner Andresen in the community’s blog;

Encourage your mobility participants to visit their OLS language communities to get into the spirit of French language day on 20 March, and Lithuania’s special book day:
- What does it mean if a French speaker says that someone gave you a rabbit, or that you fell into the apples? The answers are in Funny French idioms (part 1, part 2, part 3), along with more insights into the language in the French learning community and resources;
- Lithuanian learners can celebrate the day of the book smugglers/carriers (knygnešiaĩ in Lithuanian) on 16 March with šaltibarščiai, cepelinai or kibinai. To find out what these are, try the OLS Blog in the Lithuanian learning community and resources, article number 3: well-known Lithuanian dishes, before picking up some Lithuanian literature and book suggestions in this blog article.
