Prisons are perhaps not the first thing that comes to mind when one thinks about digital education. However, prisons are part of their communities, and they are providers of education. Providing both inmates and staff with skills and competences is very important, but seldom done. On the one hand, digital education has opened doors and provided better accessibility to a particularly hard-to-reach target group. On the other hand, prisons face many logistical challenges which are not found in the wider world.

On the 13th of October, the International Day of Education in Prisons, there will be an Ask Me Anything (AMA) session on the Hub with Daiana Huber. Daiana works with prison education in the Romanian NGO Center for Promoting Lifelong Learning. She is also a board member of the European Basic Skills Network and active within the European Association for the Education of Adults (EAEA). She can answer all the questions that you may have about this highly interesting topic.

The session will run at 14:00-15:00 CEST in the General channel of the Hub. Start thinking about questions already now and get ready to ask them to Daiana in October! As a reminder, AMA sessions are chat exchanges that happen in writing with an expert in the general channel of the Hub.
