Dear Hub members,

Another Hub year has almost passed and next month we are celebrating the second Hub anniversary! The Hub community marks its 2-year journey together. We are kicking off our birthday month with a cake challenge and a quiz to test your digital education IQ. Follow the posts coming up in June, #HubHubHooray!   

Looking forward, we have an exciting announcement: we opened a call for squad and face-to-face community workshop on wellbeing in digital education. The squad seeks to tackle major challenges and opportunities in enhancing wellbeing in digital education while generating innovative ideas and practical activities. Participants from all sectors of education and training are invited to participate and apply until May 30. The workshop will take place in Stockholm, Sweden from July 2 to 3. 

Moreover, have two exciting webinars on AI upcoming on June 5 and 17. Find more info and the registration links in the next section on upcoming events. Once again, we need your feedback to keep improving the Hub! Your valuable input will help us better understand the needs and aspirations of the Hub, ensuring that we can continue to provide the support and resources you may need. Lastly, we are happy to share with you the dates for the fifth edition of DigiEduHack: from 8 to 17 November we invite all Hub members to take part, registrations are open! DigiEduHack is an incredible opportunity to host a hackathon and contribute to innovative solutions in education. Let's join forces and make this hackathon a great success!

  • 11:30-12:30 (CET) - EduMeet on Digital inequalities / Digital citizenship education: A time and place for all Hub members to meet, share their educational challenges related to inclusive education, and find together digital education actions to address them.

Call for participants: Workshop and squad on wellbeing in digital education

The European Digital Education Hub is excited to open a call for participants for both a physical workshop and an online working group (“squad”) dedicated to exploring the topic of wellbeing in digital education. We invite participants from all sectors of education and training to participate 

The initiative aims to address key challenges and opportunities in promoting wellbeing in digital education and to develop impulses for innovative fields of action and practice-oriented activities. 

The squad will run from July to December 2024. The workshop will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, on July 2-3, 2024.

Join the Hub's mentorship programme

The Hub offers the opportunity to participate in a digital education mentorship, specifically focused on your personal area of interest, goals or actions. Mentorships are organised in 3 sessions of 2 hours each. Mentors are high-level European experts in the field of digital education who will be matched with you based on your needs. 

You can join the mentorship programme by filling in this application form 

Sign up for an online clinic on digital education

During an online clinic meeting, Hub members can discuss with a high-level European expert about the challenges they or their organisation are facing. The expert will provide tailormade guidance on topics like: 

  • micro-credentials 

  • hybrid, blended and online distance course design 

  • international collaboration and virtual mobility 

  • online assessment 

  • diversity, inclusion and equity

European elections: time to vote!

The European Parliament elections are coming up soon. Depending on where you live, the voting day is sometime between the June 6 and 9. Don't miss your chance to shape the future of Europe!

A series of articles on various aspects of European University alliance cooperation have been published in the Hub. For example, you can read about ECIU’s ambitious cooperation platform, or student engagement in EUGLOH. You can have a look at all the articles in this folder. The article series is part of the work of the workgroup on interoperability, which is currently up and running.

Hub Highlights

Eight teams selected for the third year of the Accelerator Programme

Eight teams from the EU Member States were selected to participate the Digital Education Accelerator for Year 3. The intensive 6-month programme started online on 20 May when the selected teams embarked on a journey of coaching, mentoring, testing and showcasing their digital education solutions.
