Dear Hub members,

We are excited to bring you the latest news, updates, and opportunities as we venture into the heart of autumn. There is so much happening, and we want to ensure you don't miss a beat. 

In October we have dived headfirst the theme of hackathons to hone our skills and get ready for the DigiEduHack 2023 edition, which takes place from 6 to 13 of November. We would now like to take the discussion further with a deep dive into the world of digital skills in November. In our upcoming monthly theme, we will be exploring the tools, techniques, and knowledge needed to thrive in the digital age. Expect inspiring content and activities that will help you sharpen your digital prowess! We look forward to connecting with you at our Knowledge Building Activity on 'How to empower teachers with a critical vision on digital competences', in our Teachers as Researchers sessions, and in discussions throughout the various channels of the Hub. 

This editions 'Hub Highlights' section is packed with valuable and interesting insights, showcasing the most exciting developments and outputs within the Hub community such as the output video of the squad on digital education in times of crisis, squad briefing reports, the tips of the month and past events.

Active Engagement Wanted: We are counting on your active participation! Our 'Calls to Action' are buzzing with opportunities. Whether it is becoming an author on digital education and publishing in the Hub, making use of the Hub tagging system or providing your feedback on the Hub, we invite you to give your unique perspective to the Hub's growing body of knowledge. Community workshop in Brussels

On 28 and 29 September 2023, we hosted the third and final EDEH community workshop of the year, this time in Brussels. Since 2023 is the European Year of Skills, the community workshop focused on the topic of digital skills provision. The Digital Competence Framework (DigComp) for citizens served as the framework for reference, which is why the workshop centred on basic digital skills. AI squad reports

AI has been one of the dominating topics in education and elsewhere over the past months. The rapid developments in this area call for quick ideas, solutions and measures. This is exactly what our AI squad (online working group) has been working on from February to June of this year. Video of the digital education in times of crisis squad

Our times are marked by wars, pandemics and natural disasters. Most recently, the war in Ukraine and the Covid-19 pandemic in particular have shown how important it is for digital education to adapt quickly to changes created by crises. What is your role on the European Digital Education Hub?  

I am the leader of squad 8 on diversity, equity and inclusion, and squad member of squad 7 on sustainability. 

What is your experience in digital education?  

Since June 2022, I have been engaged in my role at the National Agency Erasmus+ as a Policy Advisor and Coordinator for the horizontal priority of Digitalization.
